Thursday, October 10, 2024 – Highlands, NJ – Vasser Sullivan driver Frankie Montecalvo is ready to take on the final event of the IMSA WeatherTech season, the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Montecalvo will share driving duties for the 10-hour endurance race with Parker Thompson and Aaron Telitz. The trio is aiming for a strong race for the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 and to finish the 2024 season with a solid result.
“I can’t believe we’ve arrived at the final race of the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech season with Petit Le Mans this weekend,” said Montecalvo.
“We’ve had some highs and lows across 2024, but we’re looking to bounce back from our race at Indy with a strong weekend at Road Atlanta. The Vasser Sullivan team has done an incredible job getting the car back together after our incident at Indy, and I know we will be ready to roll off the truck with a competitive car at the start of on track activity on Thursday.”
“I’m looking forward to sharing the cockpit with Aaron and Parker again for the final event of the season. The Lexus RC F GT3 always functions well at Road Atlanta with the high-speed corners, so I think the No. 12, coupled with our driver line up, will have a successful weekend.”
“We’ve had several top five finished this season, but the podium has eluded the No. 12 car, so we’re hoping to set that right this weekend. We are all determined to fight for the top spot and cross the finish line first after 10-hours of racing, and we’re hoping to end the season on a high note and bring home a great finish for the No. 12 car crew.”
