Montecalvo Set to Take on the 12 Hours of Sebring

Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – Highlands, NJ – Vasser Sullivan endurance driver Frankie Montecalvo is gearing up to take on one of the most grueling and prestigious races in motorsports – the 72nd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Montecalvo, a seasoned competitor in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, will pilot the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 alongside Jack Hawksworth and Parker Thompson in the GTD class, aiming for victory on the legendary bumps of Sebring International Raceway.

Montecalvo has made it to the podium at Sebring in years past, but never to the top step. He’s looking to change that at this year’s running of the endurance classic.

“Sebring is one of the toughest endurance races in the world, and I’m excited to be back competing with Jack and Parker,” said Montecalvo.

“This race is all about consistency, strategy, and surviving the bumps that make Sebring so unique. We completed a successful test a few weeks ago, and the team has been working hard to prepare, so I’m confident we have what it takes to fight at the front.”

“We started the season off with a strong performance at Daytona until we encountered a bit of bad luck, but I think our Lexus RC F GT3 should thrive at Sebring. Jack [Hawksworth] did an incredible job to take the win in the GTD Pro class last year in our sister car, and I know we are all are determined to do the same in the No. 12 car this weekend.”

“We’ll see the largest number of competitors in the GTD class at Sebring, but I’m confident in our line-up and with our Vasser Sullivan crew. We have the best team and crew in the business, and we’re beyond ready to get back to racing on Saturday.”

On track action for Montecalvo begins Thursday, March 13 and continues through Saturday. The green flag flies for the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring on Saturday, March 15 at 10:10 AM ET. Fans can catch all the action live on the Peacock app with coverage beginning at 10:00 AM ET.
