Thursday, June 19, 2025 – Highlands, NJ – Vasser Sullivan driver Frankie Montecalvo is looking forward to getting back to on track action this weekend at the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen. The event marks the third round of the Michelin Endurance Cup in the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.
Montecalvo, co-driver of the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3, brings a wealth of Watkins Glen experience to the weekend. In 2023, he notched a memorable class victory, joining Aaron Telitz and Parker Thompson to clinch the GTD class honors. Montecalvo will team up with Thompson and Jack Hawksworth with hopes of returning to the podium at the end of the six-hour endurance race.
“I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of the Lexus this weekend at Watkins Glen. It’s an incredible track that suits our Lexus well with lots of high-speed corners and plenty of opportunities for overtaking,” said Montecalvo.
“We’re currently fifth in the Michelin Endurance Cup, only three points out of first place, so we’re hoping for a strong weekend for the team and to boost our rank in the championship. With twenty-one GTD entries, our class will be extremely competitive, but I have no doubt that we have the driver line-up and the team to come out on top of the competition.”
“Our goals this weekend are the same as before – stay out of trouble, minimize our time in the pits, and be in the fight at the end. I know we are up to the challenge and cannot wait to get the weekend started with the first practice session on Friday.”
On track action for Montecalvo begins Friday, June 20 and continues through the weekend. The green flag flies for the Sahlen’s 6 Hours of the Glen on Sunday, June 22 at 12:10 PM ET. You can watch Frankie race live with flag-to-flag coverage beginning at 12:00 PM ET on the Peacock App. NBC Network will also broadcast the race from 12:00 PM ET until 3:00 PM ET.
