Montecalvo Ready to Take On Utah Motorsports Campus

Thursday, August 10, 2017 – Highlands, NJ – It’s been nearly two months since Always Evolving/AIM Autosport driver Frankie Montecalvo has raced in the Pirelli World Challenge Sprint X Series. Having been away from the No. 75 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 for that long, Montecalvo cannot wait to be back behind the wheel at Utah Motorsports Campus this weekend.

“I’m really looking forward to racing this weekend with the Always Evolving/AIM Autosport guys. It’s been a long time since I’ve raced the GT-R, so I’m very excited to get back behind the wheel on Friday,” stated Montecalvo.

“I love going out to Utah Motorsports Campus. I’ve had good history there, and Salt Lake is a place that I always enjoy visiting both on and off the track.”

“I think this track will suit the characteristics of the GT-R very well. With the GT-R being a turbo car, and because the track is at such a high altitude, we should have really good power all weekend. It’s a very smooth track, so I think the GT-R should handle well and perform great there.”

Montecalvo has seen great success at the Tooele, Utah based track with three wins and several podium-finishes over the past seven years of racing there.

“I’m definitely looking forward to another podium finish this weekend. I’ve had three wins there over the past couple of years, and the Always Evolving guys have had success there with the GT-R the last two years.”

“We learned a lot at Lime Rock and scored two podium-finishes. If we can take what we learned at Lime Rock and build on that this weekend, I think we should have a good run in Utah.”
