Tuesday, November 10, 2020 – Highlands, NJ – Aim Vasser Sullivan driver Frankie Montecalvo is ready to take on the final round of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech season, the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring. Montecalvo will be joined by full season co-driver Townsend Bell, and Michael De Quesada will complete the line-up for the 12-hour enduro.
“It feels a little strange coming back to Sebring in November for the 12 Hours of Sebring, but I couldn’t be more excited to get back on track this week,” said Montecalvo.
“Sebring is one of my favorite tracks, and I think it suits our Lexus RC F GT3 well. When we were there in July for the sprint race, we were able to get our setup just right, and it showed. I was on pole for the start and our sister car came away with the win. We’ll take everything we learned there in July and apply it to this weekend.”
“Obviously, the settings are a bit different from July. I’m hoping we’ll see slightly cooler temperatures, and we’ll have more nighttime running than the typical 12-hour because of the time change, so it will be really interesting to see how the teams adapt and everything plays out.”
“I have no doubt that the AIM Vasser Sullivan guys will have an amazing car for us straight out of the box. These guys have worked so hard all season, and I know they’ll be putting everything they have into this final race of the season. And we will as well. Townsend, Michael and I will be pushing as hard as we can to finish out the season strong.”
“Team and Manufacturer championships are still on the line, so we’ll be doing everything we can to make sure our No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 finishes in the top spot or as close as possible to give Lexus the maximum amount of points.”
“The 2020 season has been a crazy ride, but I’m so grateful that we were able to race and have a full season. I’m looking forward to closing it out at Sebring and hopefully adding another podium finish to our 2020 season.”
