January 22, 2026 – Daytona Beach, FL — After nearly three months since the final race of 2025 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, the 2026 season has arrived. Vasser Sullivan driver Frankie Montecalvo completed a productive and successful Roar Before the Rolex 24 test weekend at Daytona International Speedway, marking a key milestone as preparations intensify for the iconic Rolex 24 At Daytona.
“The Roar is all about preparation, and we accomplished exactly what we came here to do,” said Montecalvo.
“While we still have some more work to do over the next few days, the car felt strong, the team executed well, and I’m feeling confident heading into race week.”
Montecalvo will share the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 with co-drivers Aaron Telitz, Benjamin Pedersen, and Esteban Masson.
“It’s great to be teamed up with Aaron again in the No. 12 car. Benjamin and Esteban have been fantastic additions to the team. Of the twenty-one entries in the GTD field, I think we will have one of the strongest line ups.”
With testing complete, attention now turns to race-week preparations, including final setup adjustments, three practices, and qualifying. This will mark Montecalvo’s ninth appearance at the Rolex 24. He scored his best result in 2019 with a third-place finish, but he has his sights set on the top step of the podium.
“The Rolex 24 is an incredible event with so much history. I’m excited to get back on track for the final practices on Thursday. The Vasser Sullivan team have been working non-stop to give us the best car possible. Our goal is to stay out of trouble, minimize our time in the pits, and give it everything we have. And hopefully the No. 12 car guys will be coming home with new Rolexes on Sunday.”
On track action for the 64th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona begins Thursday, January 22 and continues through the weekend. Qualifying will take place on January 22 at 2:10 PM ET with coverage on the Peacock App. The green flag flies for the Rolex 24 on Saturday, January 24 at 1:40 PM ET.
