Wednesday, March 18 — Sebring, FL — Frankie Montecalvo will return to one of North America’s most demanding endurance races this weekend as he competes in the 74th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway.
Montecalvo will once again tackle the legendary 12-hour endurance classic alongside his co-drivers as the team looks to build on a strong performance from a year ago. In the 2025 edition of the race, Montecalvo and teammates Jack Hawksworth and Parker Thompson drove the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 to a hard-fought second-place finish in the GTD class, leading laps late in the race and contending for the win until the closing minutes.
The track, known for its bumpy surface and punishing conditions, has long been considered one of the toughest tests in endurance racing. Montecalvo is looking forward to returning to the circuit with his 2026 co-drivers, Aaron Telitz and Benjamin Pedersen.
“Sebring is one of those races every driver looks forward to,” said Montecalvo. “It’s such a unique track with so much history, and the challenge of racing for twelve hours there is something special. The fans are incredible and the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else.”
Montecalvo is equally enthusiastic about sharing the car with Telitz and Pedersen and trying to convert last year’s podium result into a victory.
“I’m really excited to be back at Sebring with Aaron and Benjamin,” Montecalvo said. “We saw from last year that we had the pace to fight for the win. To come so close makes you even more motivated to come back and finish the job. I’m confident that we have the team, car and lineup to come away with the victory this weekend.”
With the experience gained from last season’s podium effort and a strong driver lineup, Montecalvo and his teammates will aim to once again contend at the front of the field when the green flag drops on Saturday.
On track activities begin for the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring on Thursday, March 19 and continue through Saturday. The green flag flies on Saturday, March 21 at 10:10 AM ET. You can watch the race live on the Peacock App with coverage beginning at 10:00 AM ET. You can also catch the last half of the race on NBC Sports Network at 5:00 PM ET.
