Friday, July 26, 2026 – Watkins Glen, N.Y. – Frankie Montecalvo is set to return to IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition this weekend as he joins teammates Aaron Telitz and Benjamin Pedersen for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International.
The six-hour endurance classic marks Montecalvo’s first race since April’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach and reunites the trio that competed together earlier this season in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Montecalvo enters the weekend eager to return to one of the most iconic circuits on the IMSA calendar, a track where he and the team have enjoyed success in the past.
“Watkins Glen is a track where we’ve had success before, and it’s always one I look forward to coming back to,” said Montecalvo. “We took home a win here in 2023, so we know this is a circuit that suits our Lexus RC F GT3 well.”
The team heads into the third endurance round of the season with confidence after showing strong speed throughout the year.
“It will be great to have Aaron, Ben, and myself back together in the endurance lineup. We worked really well together at Sebring, and I think we have a solid lineup, a strong car, and a team that’s firing on all cylinders heading into Watkins Glen.”
After nearly two months away from competition, Montecalvo is eager to get back behind the wheel and continue building momentum through the heart of the IMSA season.
“Any time you’re away from racing for a stretch, you’re counting down the days until you’re back in the car. The team has continued to work hard, and everyone is focused on putting together a complete race. Watkins Glen is one of the biggest endurance races on our schedule, and we’re ready for the challenge.”
On track action for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen begins Friday, June 26 and continues through the weekend.
