Montecalvo Climbs to the Podium with Strong Third-Place Finish at Petit Le Mans

October 15, 2025 – Highlands, NJ – In a thrilling conclusion to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, Frankie Montecalvo, alongside teammates Jack Hawksworth and Parker Thompson, delivered a standout performance at the Motul Petit Le Mans, securing a third‑place podium finish for the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 entry.

Starting from 11th place, Montecalvo and his co‑drivers navigated through traffic, maintained consistency, and capitalized on strategy calls to push into the top three. Over the course of the 10‑hour endurance race, their Lexus stayed clean and competitive, battling in the top five for much of the race. In the closing hours, Hawksworth held firm under pressure to clinch the final podium spot.

This result marks the fifth time in six years that Lexus and Vasser Sullivan have placed on the Petit Le Mans podium—a testament to the program’s consistency.

“I’m excited to finish the season on the podium. Everyone at Lexus and the Vasser Sullivan crew did a phenomenal job and it was a nail biter to the end,” said Montecalvo.

“The start of the race was riddled with cautions, but we were able stay out of trouble and make up a few positions early in the race. From there, we all fell into a rhythm and clicked off laps. We worked our way into the top five and stayed there for the remainder of the race.”

“Jack and Parker had awesome drives. The team executed a perfect race and flawless pit stops. I cannot thank Jack, Parker and the entire Vasser Sullivan and Lexus Racing teams enough for all their hard work throughout the year and especially this weekend. It’s always great to close out the year on the podium.”

This podium helped solidify Vasser Sullivan’s standing in the GTD class, with the No. 12 squad finishing third in points for the season.

“I’m looking forward to more time at home with my family during the off-season, and I’m excited to announce my 2026 racing plans in the coming weeks.”
